A motorcycle accident in Denver, Colorado left one person with serious injuries. The wreck occurred at an intersection and involved another car. Very few details have been made available about the crash, but it is likely that the injured individual is the motorcyclist.
Motorcyclists are in an inherently dangerous position out on the road. Their vehicles easily tip over upon contact from another vehicles. Their vehicles don’t offer much, if any, protection. And as such, when they are involved in an accident, the motorcyclist is very likely to suffer serious injuries. Broken bones, serious lacerations and abrasions, deformities, head injuries and many other injuries are possible when a motorcyclist is struck by a car.
In this particular case, we don’t know anything about the injured person, or what injuries he or she may have suffered. But if it was the motorcyclist, the injuries we listed above are real possibilities.
It will be interesting to learn what happened leading up to the accident. Was one of the drivers negligent in any way? Was an illegal turn involved at the intersection? Did distracted driving play a role in the crash at all?
Motor vehicle accidents can often lead to legal action by the victims of the accident. However, they have to wait on the police report that explains potential blame in the accident, as well as other factors that could be involved in the crash. That report contains a wealth of critical information that accident victims need — and even after it is released, new information may come to light that forces the police to amend it. So even if the report doesn’t go your way, there is always hope that new information will change things in the future.
