July 2026: Mahoney Law’s Track Record of Success in 2026
So far this year, Mahoney Law has achieved victories at the trial court level, at the Colorado Court of Appeals, and in front of the Colorado Supreme Court. In February, after a 2-day trial, the Adams County District Court ruled in favor of our client on all issues and invalidated a will based upon both undue influence and lack of capacity. The opposing party made no offer of settlement prior to trial. In a second case, Mahoney Law succeeded in front of the Colorado Supreme Court in March. After winning a trial in 2023 to invalidate a trust due to undue influence, and prevailing at the Colorado Court of Appeals in 2025, we succeeded in having the opposing party’s petition for certiorari denied by the Supreme Court after full briefing. In a third case, Mahoney Law won an appeal to the Colorado Court of Appeals in July. The Court of Appeals’ decision upheld the Arapahoe County District Court’s judgment in favor of our client in defending the validity a deed against claims of civil theft, fraud, unjust enrichment, and breach of fiduciary duty. Mahoney Law was lead counsel in all of the trials and appeals in all of these cases.
January 2026: Both of our partners, Andrea N. Mahoney and Kevin S. Mahoney, were selected to the Colorado Super Lawyers list for their work in estate and trust litigation. Only a total of six attorneys in the state were selected in this category.
Super Lawyers is a rating service for outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The Super Lawyers list recognizes no more than 5 percent of attorneys in each state.
